2017 Operation GRatitude

In 2017, we made "Bear Towels" to donate to 2 non-profit organizations in Colorado:

• Sun Valley Youth Center

  • Serves the children of the poorest projects in Denver. Currently the majority of residents are African war refugees.

  • Focuses on transforming the lives of at-risk youth in this low-income, public housing neighborhood.

  • Provides day care, after-school care, youth development, mentoring and life essentials programs to help raise up the neighborhood's youth.

• Colfax Community Network

  • Advocates for and work on behalf of families and children residing in low-income transient housing (primarily residential motels) along Colfax Avenue.

  • Works with chronically homeless elementary school aged children and their parents. These children have never had stable housing. They sleep outside when they can't afford a dirty hotel room for the night.
