2022 Retreat

After 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Retreat of Awakening's spiritual advisors hosted a mini-Retreat at Hương Đàm Temple in Corpus Christi, Texas for the staff and local practitioners to re-energize, re-juvenate, and re-connect.  We spent 2.5 days practicing Mindfulness and enjoying the wonderful present moment laughing and sharing together: 

• Morning meditations, followed by chanting the sutras and Dharma talk

• Dharma discussions

• Walking meditation along the beach

• Canoeing 

• Painting by the beach (and learning to laugh in the unexpected rain!)

• Iron Chef Cooking competition

• Tea & Sharing Time (Thiền Trà)
