Join us for a transformative journey of mindfulness, compassion, and community at the Retreat of Awakening, where inner peace meets purposeful action.
For our Operation Kindness this year, we are honored to partner with the Houston Humane Society to support animals in need. As part of our retreat program, participants will engage in hands-on service projects that bring warmth, comfort, and hope to shelter pets awaiting their forever homes.
Together, we’ll nourish our own hearts while extending love and kindness to the most vulnerable beings — because true awakening includes compassion for all. Let this retreat be more than a personal journey — let it ripple outward in service to all life.
Additionally, we are deeply saddened by the devastating flooding that recently struck the Hill Country of Texas, especially Kerr County, Texas. As part of our “Operation Kindness” efforts, the Retreat of Awakening 2025 is also collaborating with Từ Bi Foundation, headed by the Vietnamese Buddhist Center – Chùa Việt Nam (Sugar Land, Texas) in the community-wide fundraising effort to support those affected. All donations will go towards emergency relief, temporary shelter, food, clothing, and long-term rebuilding efforts.
The Retreat of Awakening will open our online t-shirt store. ALL proceeds collected from our online t-shirt sales in August and at our 2025 annual retreat (Aug 8-11) will be passed to Từ Bi Foundation for processing and distribution.
Your donations and support will help spread kindness as we continue to keep those affected by the floods in our thoughts and prayers.
Chúng ta vô cùng đau buồn trước trận lũ lụt tàn khốc vừa qua tại Kerr County, Texas. Như một phần trong chương trình “Lan Tỏa Tình Thương”, Trại Tỉnh Thức 2025 đang phối hợp cùng Từ Bi Foundation – do Trung Tâm Phật Giáo Việt Nam (Chùa Việt Nam, Sugar Land, Texas) điều hành – trong nỗ lực gây quỹ rộng khắp cộng đồng nhằm hỗ trợ các nạn nhân bị ảnh hưởng. Toàn bộ số tiền quyên góp sẽ được dùng cho các nỗ lực cứu trợ.
TOÀN BỘ lợi nhuận từ việc bán áo online trong tháng 8 và tại Trại Tỉnh Thức 2025 (từ ngày 8 đến 11 tháng 8) sẽ được chuyển đến Từ Bi Foundation để xử lý và phân phối.
Sự đóng góp và ủng hộ của quý vị sẽ giúp lan tỏa tình thương trong khi chúng ta tiếp tục dốc tâm cầu nguyện cho các nạn nhân.
